The class I taught the other day focused on balance in our lives. The practice involved a lot of balancing postures, and I talked a bit about what balance might mean in our lives outside of the yoga studio. This idea of creating balance in our lives both on and off the yoga mat really appeals to me. In our fast-paced culture, we're encouraged to go further, be quicker and do more. It's a struggle for many of us to just slow down, give ourselves a break, not take things so seriously. It takes practice- which is kind of ironic, in a way, that we have to work at relaxing. But relaxation is so vital for the mind, body and soul. So, tell me- how do you find balance in your life?
