Every day I look forward to my evening ritual of curling up with a cup of tea to watch a show or read. My rotating favorites are lemon and ginger, which I make fresh*, milk thistle, and rooibos. Teas have been around forever, and there are quite a few that have detoxifying effects for the body.
Don't be scared of the word detox. You most likely won't have any crazy reactions. This is just a way to flush the everyday toxins out of the body and improve body function. Some detoxing teas are stronger than others - for example, yellow dock has a mild laxative effect, whereas milk thistle subtly boosts liver function (you can't even tell it's doing anything). After the holiday season, we could all probably use a little detox. What would you try?
