I'm not going to lie, I feel a bit guilty choosing hip opening for April's Yoga Project because it's something that directly benefits me since my hips are crazy tight! I've been working out a lot lately and I find that any time I lift weights, my whole body feels really tight afterwards. So this slow sequence is great for those types of people, as well as anyone who is just generally tight in the low back, hips and legs. I'm using a couple of yoga blocks here, but if you don't have any, it's no problem - just use a thick book or something. The vid isn't a flow, so don't go into it wanting a good sweat. Rather, throw on your coziest layers, turn up the heat, and enjoy the hatha yoga sequence.
