My cousins are going back to school this week so I thought it'd be appropriate to make some healthy-ish snacks for them to have on hand in the afternoons. September is National Yoga Month, so when Yummi Yogi sent some cookie cutters to the office, we got right to work making Yoga Pose Paleo Cookies.
We followed this recipe for both the cookies and the frosting, but opted not to use food coloring in the frosting, and instead added two packets of Nuttzo chocolate spread because we are chocolate lovers. The end result was a healthier tasting cookie that wasn't too sweet with a chocolatey icing and superfood topping (we used cashews, cranberries, chia seeds and coconut flakes) for added sweetness and flavor.
