When my plate is full, it's hard to remember to take time out and take care of myself. I've been pretty vocal about how important it is to keep yourself number one, so I feel a little embarrassed that I've put myself on the back burner for the last few weeks. Recently I made a pact with myself to get back on the mat more, get back on the meditation train, and thankfully, I've seen a decrease in stress. That's the nice thing about the practice - it pretty much works immediately. Maybe it doesn't take away the stress 100%, but it takes a huge chunk, and that's a great step in the right direction.
I put together this little sequence for a good morning stretch - a way to wake up tired, cranky muscles, and prepare for the day. I recommend going through this four times - twice on each side, and breathing seven full, deep breaths in each pose before going on to the next. Hope you love it!
